Proceeds WILL SAVE LIVES by upgrading transport and crash cart defibrillators throughout the hospital. On a monthly basis, an average of 10 "Code Blues" are called within the hospital for either patients or visitors, in which our health care team responds to save the individual's life. Defibrillators play a major role in this endeavor as they are used to monitor necessary vital signs as a person is transferred from one area of the hospital to the next; and by offering the electric jolt needed to bring a heart's rhythm back to normal.
